Alisha is a proud Indigenous woman from Kehewin Cree Nation, residing in Edmonton, Alberta, and was born and raised in British Columbia. She uses her voice to advocate for Indigenous youth and mental wellness, with a focus on breaking stigma and encouraging healing through cultural connection, identity, and community. Her platform, WhispersBetweenTheBraids, reflects her commitment to creating safe, meaningful spaces where youth feel seen, heard, and supported. Inspired by her own journey of self confidence, self esteem, and cultural identity, Alisha is passionate about sharing stories that empower others to reconnect with who they are and where they come from. In her free time, Alisha enjoys creating beadwork, advocacy, and being outdoors whether fishing, hunting, or exploring. She strongly believes confidence is built through resilience, authenticity, and embracing one’s identity.
