Hinauri Nehua-Jackson Proud Advocate for Truth & Reconciliation Between Canadian and Indigenous Communities Representing both her Korean and Māori heritage from New Zealand and South Korea she also Displays her deep connection to the Indigenous Cree community on Treaty 6 territory in Edmonton, Hinauri is a proud first-generation global exchange youth and advocate. Adopted by the Indigenous community in Edmonton, Alberta. She brings a unique blend of Te Reo Māori and Cree traditions to her platform, championing Truth, Reconciliation, and Youth Empowerment. Currently serving as the National Youth Representative of Alberta on the Indigenous Youth Council, Hinauri amplifies the voices of Alberta's youth in Nationally Recognized Forums, Political Spaces and Grassroots organizations, including Canada’s Parliament House, Cultural Diplomacy Conference and Upcoming Opportunity to advocate her platform at the UN. Her passion for social justice has taken her across the world to the US, Switzerland, India and more. Where she represented Canada, promoting equality for People of Color and Relationship Building between Canadians and Indigenous People through Truth & Reconciliation. Hinauri believes that Reconciliation is the path forward for Canada's growth and a vital opportunity for healing. She stands as a bridge between diverse communities, dedicated to creating spaces where all youth can thrive, be heard, and inspire positive change.
