Alberta Born and Raised, enjoying my time in the country with horses, and friends who have become family. My journey in pageantry began when I saw how it could turn my dream into a reality; and that is when Persistence Haven was born.

Meet Morgan, she began her pageant journey in 2024 when she competed in her first ever pageant where she was crowned Miss Queen Alberta. She continued on to the National pageant where she was crowned Miss Personality Western Canada. She traded her Boots for heels, demonstrating her multifaceted abilities with an unwavering commitment to personal development and positive change. She recently completed her dual Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, at Mount Royal University. Her dedication to fair and equal justice, restorative practices, and authority accountability has motivated her to pursue a career in legal and justice services.

Shortly after her crowning as Miss Queen Alberta, Morgan displayed the promised determination she proposed, establishing her personal brand, The Cowgirlin' Kinda Way, in addition to founding the non-profit organization Persistence Haven

Since her crowning, Morgan has worked tirelessly on developing her initiatives, leading to the successful creation, conduction, and completion of the Crown Alberta Tour, an original concept that highlights her commitment to the community and dedication to her platform, all while maintaining her true country roots.

Through her journey as Miss Queen Alberta and now Miss Personality Western Canada, Morgan has been a dedicated representative for PPCA, Sophia Lia Mag, and her platform, Persistence Haven - Invisible Disabilities. With her genuine cowgirl spirit, she took on the tour, travelling what equated to over one hundred thousand KM making numerous stops across AB, SK, BC, ON and finishing her tour in Montana.

Morgan has been recognized for some of her remarkable accomplishments as a Team Canada Cheerleader starting in 2019 to 2021, for such endeavours as her humanitarian work in Costa Rica, Cambodia, and Peru. In addition, her commitment to excellence has led her to achieve the prestigious Gold Level Duke Of Edinburgh Award when she was just 17 years old. She consistently shares her passion for sports, dance, cheerleading, rodeo, mental health, and, learning disabilities through her community involvement as a coach, mentor and figure head. She embodies the values of dedication, compassion, and leadership, and she continues to inspire those around her as she makes a lasting impact in all of her endeavours.

"Welcome to my Haven, Persistence Haven

I am the creator and founder of the non profit incorporation, Persistence Haven. I have been working hard to create a community I refer to as “The Haven”, specifically advocating for invisible disabilities. I myself have struggled with disabilities and I am so excited to have created a platform that welcomes everyone. This is only the beginning of what I intend for it to be, a generational community outlet focused on wellness and support for anyone who needs it. I want to represent those who face the struggles posed by invisible disabilities to the eye of the world around us.

This organization is designed around Equine Therapy (ET), working with horses to improve mental and physical health. As a person who struggles with ADAH, Dyslexia, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, I was able to find a sanctuary - a place that helped me cope and heal, and that made me see the world in a new light. That place was with horses.

The Haven is designed to be that sanctuary for any and all individuals who are struggling, or even to anyone who just needs an escape after their day. The use of ET is led by our onsite counselors and therapists who guide individuals through activities with our horses.

Horses are highly sensitive to human behaviour and body language, and pick up on emotion through nonverbal cues such as posture, tone of voice, breathing patterns. and the human heartbeat. ET allows individuals to work on their self awareness because horses are so intune with our emotions when around them that we need to be in control as to not spook or have a negative encounter with the animal. This style of therapy helps individuals learn new ways of thinking, changing negative thoughts, learning how to communicate more openly and clearly to others, and more. As they become more self aware, it can help enhance self-esteem and confidence.

Events will be held in community arenas so that participants of The Haven feel as though they are a part of the community and not in a secluded environment from others in the equine industry. This will allow for individuals in the organization to network, connect, and branch out within the community.

At the Haven, we will also have mentor/internship opportunities for the youth to come out and work with the animals. This part of the organization is designed to help start building and adding to the resumes of these children and young adults, as well as continuing to help them refine their current skills and develop new ones. I want this to be a rehabilitation center to an extent, as I've realized more and more through my work as a Federal Parole Officer that youth offenders more often than not end up in trouble because they had nowhere to turn and no outlets to help them. We sill be that outlet for them."

“Persistence will never fail you but the haven is a place for support and recognition when support in one's own perseverance is running dry.”

The charge is underway - Crown Alberta Tour

Full of ideas and ambition, As Miss Queen Alberta I was not going to let any moment of my reign go by without making the most of it.

As Miss Queen Alberta 2024-2025, I was thrilled to announce the Crown Alberta Tour, in collaboration with the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association and the World Professional Chuckwagon Association.

The Crown Alberta Tour sought to reach as many individuals as possible within the community and make a significant impact in the lives of Albertans. This past race season, I had the privilege of working alongside many talented drivers and their teams, forming connections within the community that your organizations represent. As an equestrian, I have developed a deep appreciation for the sport and the exceptional athletes and horses involved. The experience inspired me to give back to the CPCA, WPCA, and the Alberta community through the Crown Alberta Tour, during my reign. I gratefully worked with Personality Pageants to make the Crown Alberta Tour a reality.

Chuckwagon racing is a beloved heritage sport in Alberta, and it was a privilege to celebrate and support the incredible individuals who made it possible. Together, the tour created a lasting, positive impact on our community and brought recognition to the amazing work being done by the chuckwagon racing community.

The tour began in Grand Prarie AB, and stretched all across the province, exceeding the plans to remain within the boarder reaching into BC, SK and even Montana. What I had originally intended to be a 5 month tour extended to be a total of 7 months, with over 100K KM traveled! I was able to meet many amazing people along the way, sharing smiles and hugs, stories, in addition to empowering the community demonstrating that no matter who you are, or where you come from, disabilities, struggles or hardships; with a little bit of persistence, anything is possible!

I am able to look back on the tour today with gratitude, as I exceeded my goals and expectations not only for the tour itself but for my reign as Miss Queen Alberta. Today, I am proud to say Persistence Haven is now a wildly known and recognized upcoming community organization, offered as a resource for those needing a haven after a long trail of persistence.

In times of uncertainty, It's sometimes hard to believe that what is meant to be, will be. However, as I reflect on my reign as Miss Queen Alberta 2024, I have faith in the following phrase; if it wasn’t for her coming into the store that day, my seemingly unrealistic dreams wouldn’t be what is now my reality. I had no idea how quickly my life was going to change, and how the title would be much bigger than myself, enabling me to become a part of communities, organizations and other advocacies. As a delegate, it was never about the sash and crown, nor did that change when I was crowned. Rather it was about the good I could do, the extent of my reach, and the difference I could make. Something far beyond myself and my platform, a representative of PPCA, Sophia Lia Mag, fellow titleholders, and those who I had the privilege of working with. I will forever reflect on my reign as Miss Queen Alberta as though if it wasn’t for the title, my dreams of establishing The Haven would still be a timid dream of mine.

Always & Forever,

- Miss Queen Alberta 2024

What's next for you in pageantry?

You'll find out soon!

What advice would you give someone hoping to become your successor?

You DECIDE,

Every day, in every moment you decide to make the choices you do. Although it may seem unrealistic or like something you never thought you could do, I’m living proof that you decide if it is something you can and will do. Once you set your mind on success, persist through the challenges, only then do you decide when you have failed. If you are persistent and that you are not willing to accept failure or that you are not done until you have succeeded then you will always be a successful; no matter what you put your mind too. I have said this to myself many of times and that is if you have done your best that will always be good enough, cause if you are able to walk away from any and every situation knowing in your heart there wasn't one more thing you could have done than you will always be a champion.

Let's Connect

My truth in pageantry has and will always be that the crown and title I represent will never be my own. Rather, I am the figure who has the privilege of representing the communities I engage with. Thus, it is my priority as the reining Miss Western Canada to be as involved with the community, in any way possible. A successful reign of mine is one where I can empower, unite and connect with as many agencies, communities, events, and organizations as possible. No matter what kind of ideas you may have in mind, the way my attendance would look at your event, relevance, or contribution to you may be, I want to hear from you! I encourage you to reach out with any ideas or events you have coming up as I would be happy to connect and discuss how I can get involved or contribute my reigning title to you! No matter the request, I am happy to participate as a special guest or appearance, speaker, host, or workshop leader of any kind. No matter the request, I assure you that we will make the most of our collaboration as I am open and accommodating to ensure my contribution is an asset to you.

I look forward to hearing from you!
